The Nanuet School District participates in the Rockland County Health Department's "Illness Surveillance Project." Each week, reports are gathered from schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and private physicians. They then are analyzed to identify any emerging health concerns throughout the county. With the exception of reportable illnesses, where we are required by law to do so, we do not release students’ names.

When calling to report your child absent, or when sending in a note, we ask for your help by providing a brief description of the reason (e.g. sore throat, upset stomach, fever, etc.) or by letting us know if the absence is not due to illness.
