Statement
The Nanuet School District
is committed to the personal development of each student so that upon
graduation, he or she is prepared and inspired to apply learning in a
changing, complex, and interdependent world.
Belief Statements
We at the Nanuet School
District believe:
In an educational program that
assesses students in real world tasks and meets world class standards
- It takes the whole village to raise a
child
- We must respect and accommodate individual
differences through appropriate experiences and assessments
- Our schools should provide a safe
environment that nurtures risk-taking, inquisitiveness, and creativity, and should expect
individuals to take responsibility for their actions
- Our schools are dedicated to challenging
students in a continuous pursuit of excellence
We have taken our mission
and beliefs and translated them into the following two goals:
To have 100% of our students
graduate
- To have 100% of our students meet
National, State, District or IEP standards
Our goal is to have all of
our students be successful in reaching both the New York State and Nanuet's expectations
